I was always afraid that the real me wouldn't be good enough. So I hid behind a clown mask—constantly seeking approval, hiding my vulnerabilities, training everyone to expect jokes instead of depth.
But I'm tired of playing this part. The mask doesn't hide me anymore; it suffocates me.
So I'm taking it off. For good. I've begun working on the most serious project of my life, and it demands all of my energy. Something big is coming.
Stay tuned.
Idk who you are, but that reminds me of how autistic people wear masks in public to try and pretend to be a normal person, and that it drains them a lot and causes all sorts of anxiety, fatigue, and mental health issues.
The world is a terrible place, so showing your true self will get you in trouble and bad situations, but people are good at noticing something is off with someone, and will treat them bad anyways.
